👋 I am Adewale Joseph Ogunleye

Wale Ogunleye

I am Wale, friends also call me Joseph. I am an avid learner and creative thinker who thrives at the intersection of technological and biological systems. When I was young, I wanted to be a medical doctor, but with higher education in Microbiology (BSc) and Bioinformatics (MSc), I have developed passion, experience and expertise in Mathematics and Computational Biology. I am currently doing a PhD in Systems biology with Prof. Ana Brochado.

I started getting interested in building functional systems (inspired by Zech. 10:4, Bible). I believe Africa needs more systems-level builders, and I have decided to pursue building resilient systems for science education. HackBio is my pilot project and with the right people, I hope I will be able to build exactly what I have in mind.

Take a look at my Projects and Publications. Feel free to write to me for mentorships, collaboration, talks and anything interesting here: josoga2@gmail.com.
